The library received a $500 grant from GroMore-Too, Grant to be used for work to build a children’s garden at the library. Plans are to use raised beds for growing vegetables the children can prepare to eat fresh or learn the skills of preserving fruits and vegetables for consuming later.

The library promotes summer reading for people of all ages. We would like to reach out to the community to help the library to increase the number of pages that are read by people of all ages. It is easy, just pick up a form from the library to keep track of the books, newspapers or magazine that you read, and the number of pages in each item that you read. It can be an e-book that is read or listened to. It can include books read to others. Who knows there could even be a price at the end of the summer! The materials do not need to be something you checked out of the library, but we would gladly check out materials to you. Summer reading is scheduled to begin May 15 and will continue through July 31st. You can start anytime during this time and also end sooner. If you have questions, please contact the library.
