Do you enjoy watching butterflies? Monarch butterflies are starting to gather and travel to the southern U.S and Mexico for the winter months. Cedar trees are a great place for the butterflies to spend the overnight hours and any blossoming plants are a great place to feed to give them the strength to travel. If you look closely at the wings of these butterflies you may find a very tiny round sticker on wings that indicates they have been captured and released to help entomologist track their habits and travel paths. Monarch tagging and watching sites can be found on-line if you are interested.
