Summer programming at the library is concluding on Wednesday the 26th of July. We have held the programming in the building which will be the library soon, since it has given us the space we needed and a kitchen to complete snack food preparation. 40 children have participated at some time during the summer, with 28 children having attended 24 of the 30 sessions. Reading is an important part of the summer programming at the library and as of July 20th over 8300 pages have been read.

For the children who have completed the requirements of attendance and reading of summer programming we are having a fun day at Wild Water West , Sioux Falls, SD. This will take place on July 31st. Funding secured from a Save the Children grant will fund the activity.

One last summer activity sponsored by the library will take place on Wednesday, August 2nd at 10:00 am at the Lake Andes Community Center, 207 Main Street. The Reptile Lady will be bringing her reptiles to share with the Lake Andes Community. Anyone can attend this presentation.
