Happy summer break for students and staff of Andes Central and surrounding communities. The library is gearing up for summer programming and summer reading. The schedule for the summer includes 3 (yes 3) presentations at the library open to everyone. June 16 th at 1:15 pm the library will be hosting Gypsy Cowbelle and Home Spun Instruments which is provided through a grant from the SD Humanities Council. Come ready to tap your toes and clap your hands! On June 28th at 10 am a Magician Jeff Quinn will be performing at the library. What do rabbits, black hats and wands have in common? A magic show open to every age. Finally, do you like reptiles? On August 2nd at 10 am the Reptile Lady will be visiting the Lake Andes Library with her pets to do a presentation for anyone interested in learning more about reptiles.

The library will be closed on May 29th to commemorate Memorial Day and the library is also going to be closed on June 3rd to celebrate Fish Days. The library is hosting Bingo at the Community Center on Main Street during Fish Days on Sunday, June 4th beginning at 1:00 and concluding at 3:00. Any funds raised will be used by the library to furnish the 2 kitchens found at the new library building.
