Library news
Wednesday, June 1st at 1:00-3:00 the Library will be holding sign up for Summer Programming and the Summer Reading program. If you cannot attend on Wed, please contact the library to sign up. Children must participate to be eligible to attend the Incentive trip to Yankton in August. In conjunction with the sign up we will have a presentation by Liz Julian from the US Fish and Wildlife Service taking place from 1-3 on the Library lawn or at the Community Center if it rains. Here is a description of the program:
Do you have a child that is curious about the outdoors and wants to learn more? Come join the US Fish and Wildlife Service on June 1st from 1-3 pm at the Lake Andes Public Library (or Community Center, 207 Main Street, if it is raining) to learn about wetlands! We will be discussing what a wetland is and why they are important and the animals that live there. Kids can make their own mammal track, and play a refuge game! All ages of children are welcome. If you have questions, please contact Liz Julian at 605 481-8408 or the Library at 605 487-7524.
The Library will be closed on June 4th for the annual Fish Day Celebration.
