The LIbrary with the help from a grant from the SD Humanities Council will be commemorating the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. A viewing of a video produced by the 9/11 Museum in New York city will be viewed along with a set of commemoration posters produced by the same Museum. It is open to the public and will be held on Sat., Sept 11th from 10:00 am-3:00 pm at the Lake Andes Community Center located at 207 Main Street. Because of the nature of the presentation it is suggested that parents/ guardians attend with children under the age of 12. The video showing will be starting at 10 and shown every hour after. It is the concern of the 9/11 Museum that people who were not even born before 9/11 may not have the memories of the event that those of us who lived through the day of the attacks. A presentation is also planned for students at Andes Central on Sept. 10th.

The Library board meeting that was advertised to be held on September 14th will not be held on that date. Please call the library for further details as to a date change.
