“Tails and Tales” is the 2021 Children’s Library Summer Program that can be found in libraries across the United States this summer. The programming began at the Lake Andes Public on Monday, June 7th at 1:00. Programming runs in 3 sections each day, first session beginning at 1:00 , 2nd session at 2:00 and the 3rd session at 3:00. Section 1 is geared towards K-2nd grade, Section 2 is geared towards 3-4th grade, and the 3rd section is geared towards 5 grade up.
Subjects to be covered are food and nutrition activities, gardening, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) Coding and robotics, and a craft day. Sign up is not necessary, but it is appreciated.
Summer Reading Program is also underway at the library. Students will receive a free book for the number of books read per their age, a piece to complete a giant reading puzzle in the entry way to the library and “book tags” with the theme of “Tails and Tales”. Come to the library to check out books and get started with the program.
