October 8th is a big day at the Lake Andes City Library! It is the kick –off date for the Young Adult Reading Program (YARP) across the state of South Dakota. This year the library will be focusing on the Middle School Selections. An incentive program will begin for each student who signs up at the library. Students are asked to vote on each selection they read. The YARP program concludes April 1st.

October 8th is also Native American Day . The Library will be having story time at the library beginning at 1:00 and we will be doing activities inside and out for anyone who is interested. We will also be serving food throughout the day. Visit the library that day to join in the fun.
