Librarian Mary Jo Parker

The library will be closed November 22nd to celebrate Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving to all our patrons!

Reminder that our Fine Forgiveness month runs through November 30th. All overdue books must be returned and fines paid before you are allowed computer privileges at the library.

Continuing with new selections added to the library:

“Crazy Rich Asians” by Kevin Kwan. Now a major motion picture, this New York Times Bestseller is available for check out. When New Yorker Rachel Chu agrees to spend the summer in Singapore with her boyfriend, Nicholas Young, she envisions a humble family home and quality time with the man she hopes to marry. Needless to say the reality is very different from her vision. A great read!

“Alaskan Holiday” by Debbie Macomber. Debbie Macomber is at her best in this beautiful holiday story about the far journeys we travel to find a place to call home.

“Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens. This mystery is at once an exquisite ode to the natural world, a heartbreaking coming of age story, and a surprising tale of possible murder. Owens reminds us that we are forever shaped by the children we once were and that we are all subject to the beautiful and violent secrets that nature keeps.
