The recent events in our Nation have brought the continuing Civil Rights Movement to the forefront. The library has received four selections - one non-fiction, three fiction based on the Civil Rights Movement across the globe. The non-fiction is titled Down Along with that Devil’s Bones, A Reckoning with Monuments, Memory, and The Legacy of White Supremacy authored by Connor Towne O’Neill. The three fiction selections are His Only Wife by Peace Adzo Medie, Furia by Yamile Saied Mendez and Impersonation by Heidi Pitlor. These are available for check out by our library patrons.

The library is very actively supporting the completion of the 2020 Census by all members of the Lake Andes Community. See the ad in the Lake Andes Wave and Announcer concerning the support for the Census by the Library.
