Library news
The Lake Andes Library board is the controlling body for our public library. They make suggestions to the librarian, make requests to the city council on behalf of the library and hire workers for the library. We meet quarterly and our next meeting will be June 9th. Because of the social distancing policy being followed at the library our meeting may look different than usual. If you have a concern to be brought before the board please contact the library so we can put your concern on our agenda.
I would like to take this time to recognize the Summer Feeding program being held by Andes Central during the month of June. Free meals are open to children 18 years old and younger. Meals will be carry out only. Please use Commons door # 4 which is on the east side of the building.
Remember the library is open during the same hours that we had before the closing for the Pandemic. We ask that you wear a mask and we have masks available for your use. We are also open to pick up books, magazines and dvds as well as use of computers. We have sanitizer available for your use and we clean each computer between sessions. Call the library at 487-7524 with questions.
