The Lake Andes Public Library held a special Storytime South Dakota Event on Thursday, November 14th. The event featured Mayor Ryan Frederick and Councilman Connor Florey as the special guest readers. The book that was featured was See the Dog: Three Stories About a Cat by author David LaRochelle. The event also included fun activities and a snack in addition to the story. This event was sponsored the South Dakota State Library. This is a state-wide sponsored activity in celebration of November being National Picture Book month which highlights the importance of reading aloud.
