I recently attended meetings inDanteandWagner. The meetings were held to see how much support there is for the the R&T Project (very little).
The engineer of the R&T and the spokesman from law firm in Wisconsin accepted my offer to give them a tour from Dante to five miles east of Avon.
My concern as a commissioner is how will they address the issue that many intersections have been altered to make the road safer and be safer for cattle pots and hopper bottom grain trailers to cross over. When the engineers told me how they would make changes, my first thought was there are two types of engineers, book smart and commonsense smart. I was very disappointed.
In the meetings I have attended there are six main supporters of this R&T Project, three from Tyndall, two from Platte and one from Pickstown. The lawyers from St. Lewis made the statement (this trail will inconvenience landowners). Is it possible that six people can affect the lives of 200 landowners in a negative way.
