Dear Editor: Rail to trail update. I received a call from Pierre today 6-27 and was updated on the R&T Project.

R&Tisonlinetoreceive$200k (Federal gas tax money) to do a feasibility study. No action has been taken, the reason is they mandated a 20% ($40K) match. R&T will have to come up with $40K before any action will be taken. If the study is negative investors will lose their money. Itcouldbeseveralmonthsbefore anyactionistaken,italldepends on the $40K at this time.

Whenthisprojectfirststarted there was money available at District 3. That money is gone.

I am very disappointed in the lackof professionalism.R&Thas chosen to not keep the public informed.
