1 TIMOTHY 6:7-11 "For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain, we can take nothing out. And having food and rainment let us be content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and which drawn men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which some coveted after, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But, thou. O man of God, flee from these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness."(KJV)

This scripture reminds us of how little things really matter to us. We started out with nothing--and no matter what we accumulate during our life--we will leave it all behind when we die.

So what we have now such as food, and clothing, a place to live and so on-we need not be concerned with what others have because they like us--will leave it all behind.

We should be content with what God has given us to use while we are alive now.

There are those who strive to be rich and never seem pleased with what amount they have.

The love of money is the root of all evil.

Those with lots of money do what they want with it. They gamble--which is sinful, They buy whatever they want--and don't think about what God thinks about their extravagant spending--to buy wants and not just necessities. They have replaced God in their life--with money--this is sinful.

But the scriptures tells us to flee from these things--rather than fall away from God by the lust of money, but for us to follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Are you filled with wants or are you satisfied to be content with what you now have?
