On Friday, June 28, Wagner’s Post 11 Legion team hosted Vermillion Post 1. Hayden Christopherson of Vermillion proved to be too much for Wagner’s bats as he would pitch the complete game shutout, winning by a score of 7-0. Hunter Loeffler, Matt Link, and Carter Cournoyer each had one hit for Wagner.

Matt Link was the starting pitcher for Wagner. He allowed five runs, four earned, on six hits while walking four and striking out seven. Joey Cournoyer then came on to pitch the final three frames. He allowed two runs, one earned, on two hits while walking three and striking out one.
