On Saturday, June 29, Wagner’s Post 11 team was back in action as they would face the Platte-Geddes Whitecaps for the second time in less than a week. This time the outcome would be different as Wagner would come out on the good side of a 7-5 score.
Ted Slaba got the ball in this one and he would go five innings giving up five earned runs while striking out six and issuing zero walks. Javian Pesicka then came on to earn the save as he threw the final two innings giving up no runs on three hits and one walk while striking out two.
At the plate for Wagner, Slaba would come up with two hits and an RBI. Hunter Loeffler, Carter Cournoyer, and Carlin Hopkins each singled and scored a run. Christian Doom had a big two out single in the first inning that plated two runs. Matt Link had one hit and scored two runs and Pesicka walked twice and scored a run. Joey Cournoyer collected an RBI and courtesy runner Landon Mudder scored once.
