“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” in Lake Andes! We are doing things a little “different” this year! The City of Lake Andes, Lake Andes Community Club, and Ft. Randall Pink Ladies are supporting the following Holiday Activities not only JUST Friday, but extending into Saturday as well!!

Friday, December 6, 2024:

• Lake Andes businesses will be holding customer appreciation activities throughout the day.

• Christmas Scavenger Hunt for 4th-12th grade beginning after school and concluding on Saturday at 1 pm. Pick up and return game cards to the library. Pizza certificates to top 3 winners.

• Porch Pot Party at the library beginning at 5 p.m. with sessions at 6:00 and 7:00. Party is provided by Mensch Greenhouse. Lutheran Social Services is providing funds for the party participants. Please sign up at the library. $10.00 holds your spot.

Saturday, December 7, 2024:

• Ft. Randall Pink Ladies will be hosting the Holiday Craft Fair at the Duck In

• Free Kids Movie at the library at 17 Park Avenue.

• The 6th Annual Parade of Lights will begin at 6 p.m. Line up at Lake Andes Healthcare Center at 5:30pm and proceed past City Park concluding at Christmas Tree on Main Street. Theme this year is “Celebrating Christmas in Lake Andes”. Parade is open to entries by families, businesses, farms, organizations, etc. Only requirement is that it needs to be lighted. • City Christmas Tree will be set up on empty lot at 3rd Avenue and Main Street. Lighting will take place at 6:30 p.m. or as soon as parade concludes. Pictures with Santa can be taken after the lighting.

• Customer Appreciation Drawings for Hams and Turkeys will be held after the Parade of Lights. Businesses in Lake Andes will have tickets available for their customers starting November 25 up until 4:30 p.m. Friday, December 6.

It is hoped that we can have a great showing of young and old at these activities.
