The Wagner Red Raiders won both contests against Freeman/ Marion/Freeman Academy on Monday April 24th.

The Phoenix started out on top scoring one in the first, but Wagner responded with seven in the bottom of the second to take the lead. Emma Yost and Ravyn Medricky each collected two hits in the game to lead the Wagner Red Raiders. Lydia Yost, Sydney Cournoyer, Braxton Nedved, Kayden Zephier, and Brylie Link contributed a hit in the win too. FMFA scored three more in the game, but Wagner held on for a 7-4 victory.

L. Yost took the win for Wagner in the circle, pitching all five innings. She allowed four runs on six hits, striking out six.

In game number two, the Wagner Red Raiders took control in the bottom of the first, scoring six on a walk by Libby Kotab, an RBI by Ravyn Medrick, a walk by Braxton Nedved, a single by Aubrey Medricky, a walk by Kayden Zephier, and a single by Brylie Link.

FMFA came back in the top of the second, scoring one, but Wagner remained on top scoring another seven runs. The offense in the inning was led by Nedved, Zephier, Lydia Yost, and Emma Yost, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

The ladies played some good defense and were aggressive on the base paths, totaling five stolen bases.

Aubrey Medricky led the Red Raiders in hits, going 3 for 4 at the plate, and R. Medricky also racked up two hits on the night. L Yost, Sydney Cournoyer, B. Nedved, Angel Zephier, and B. Link all added a hit in the win.

Yost earned the victory on the rubber for the Wagner Red Raiders. The fireballer lasted four innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out five.

The Wagner Red Raiders (4-2) will continue action hosting a triangular on May 8th with the first game starting at 1:30pm against Winner, followed later in the day with a game against Bon Homme.
