The Wagner volleyball team hosted the Gregory Spikers on Thursday, September 7th. The Raiders swept the Spikers in 3 sets for a Homecoming victory. Scores of the match were 25-13, 25-18, and 25-15.

Leading the attack were Kya Kjeldgaard with 13 kills, Shona Kocer added 9 and Ashlyn Koupal had 6. Macy Koupal racked up 26 assists in the match. At the service line A. Koupal tallied 18 points/9 aces, Kocer earned 9 points/5 aces, and Aubrey Medricky had 7 points/2 aces. In the back court A. Koupal dug up 15 and Kjeldgaard added 9 digs. Ravyn Medricky put up 2 blocks while Kjeldgaard had 1 in the match.

The JV fell short and lost 1-2. Hitters Hannah Holzbauer and R. Medricky each threw down 4 kills while Braxton Nedved added 3. Nedved also dished out 10 assists in the match. Shana Lensing led the defense picking up 13 digs, Hannah Holzbauer added 11 and Libby Kotab had 7. Serving leaders were Brianna Fuchs with 9 points/2 aces and Nedved with 8 points/1 ace.

The C team won with scores of 25-19 and 25-21. Attack leaders were Rico Fischer with 5 kills along with Mateya Bruguier, Brianna Fuchs and Emma Kreeger all earning 2. Kylin Insko dished out 6 assists and Jazlyn Lhotak added 3 in the win. Behind the service line B. Fuchs tallied 11 points/3 aces, Hayden Fischer added 8 points/2 aces and Holzbauer had 5 points/5 aces. In the back court Rico Fischer and H. Fischer each picked up 3 digs in the match. B. Fuchs had one solo block in the win.

The Wagner volleyball team will travel to Avon on Tuesday, September 12th to face the Pirates and then the varsity team will compete in the Cavalier Clash on Saturday, September 16th in Tyndall.
