LADY RAIDERS SWEEP THE MUSTANGS IN 3 STRAIGHT SETS

The Wagner volleyball team traveled to Colton takeon the Tri-Valley Mustangs on Saturday, October 4th. The Lady Raiders picked up another win with scores of 25-21, 25-22 and 25-23 making them 15-4 on the season.

Middle hitter Ravyn Medricky led the attack slamming down 15 kills while Hannah Holzbauer added 8 and Mateya Bruguier had 5. Setter Braxton Nedved accumulated 29 assists in the win. Brianna Fuchs led all servers racking up 11 points/2 aces, Nedved added 10 points, Brylie Link had 6 points/1 ace and Medricky had 6 points. Libero Libby Kotab scrapped for 25 digs, Medricky picked up 19, Holzbauer grabbed 15 and Nedved added 12. Up at the net Nedved earned 2 stops while Medricky and Fuchs each had 1.

The JV lost in 2 sets with scores of 21-25 and 16-25. Camry Link led the hitters with 5 kills and Ashtyn Bruguier had 4. Setters Kylin Insko and Mila Hopkins each dished out 6 assists in the match. Link led behind the service line earning 4 points and Adara Hopkins had 3 points/2 aces. A. Hopkins led the defense picking up 9 digs, C. Links added 6, and Insko, Mila Hopkins, Hayden Knudsen, and Mateya Bruguier all had 5 apiece. A, Bruguier earned 1 solo block in the match.

The C team lost a tough match going 3 sets with scores of 11-25, 25-16, and 8-15. Ty’Shay Medicine Bear racked up 5 kills in the match while Taelyn Knebel and Peytyn Wiechmann each had 3. Emma Turner dished out 10 assists. Knebel led all servers tallying 6 points/3 aces, Turner added 5 points/2 aces and Peytyn Wiechmann had 3 points/2 aces. Turner and Wiechmann each scrambled after 6 digs and Knebel had 3.
