The Wagner volleyball team traveled to Avon to take on the Pirates. The Raiders came out ready to play with a clean sweep with scores of 25-16, 25-16, and 25-22.

Ravyn Medricky led the attack throwing down 8 kills. Ashlyn Koupal racked up 7 while Hannah Holzbauer and Brianna Fuchs each had 6. Brylie Link also had 5 kills in the match. Junior setter Braxton Nedved distributed the ball well and earned 26 assists in the win. Holzbauer led the defense scrapping for 12 digs, Medricky picked up 9, Libby Kotab and Koupal each added 8 while Nedved and Hayden Knudsen had 7. Link led all servers with 14 points/5 aces, Koupal earned 10 points, and Holzbauer had 6 points/1 ace. Up at the net Koupal put up 2 stops while Nedved and Holzbauer each had 1.

The JV team added another win to their record with scores of 25-18, 13-25, and 15-7. Ashtyn Bruguier led at the net throwing down 4 kills, Adara Hopkins and Mateya Bruguier each added 2. Kylin Insko dished out 6 assists and Mila Hopkins added 4. A. Hopkins and Hayden Knudsen scrambled for 9 digs apiece while Camry Link added 7 and Insko had 5. Behind the service line, C. Link racked up 8 points/3 aces, Insko added 4 points/1 ace and M. Hopkins had 3 points/2 aces.

The C team picked up a nice win with scores of 26-24 and 25-14. Ty’Shay Medicine Bear and Taelyn Knebel led the attack each earning 3 kills in the win. Setter Emma Turner tallied 6 assists. Izzy Myer, Peytyn Wiechmann and Knebel all scrapped for 2 digs apiece. Turner led the way at the service line racking up 16 points/9 aces, Myer added 4 points/2 aces and Knebel had 3 points/2 aces on the night.

Wagner will host Bon Homme on Tuesday, September 23rd and travel to Kimball/White Lake on Thursday September 25th. Then the varsity team will participate in the Sioux Falls Pentagon Tournament on Saturday, September 27th.
