LADY RAIDERS PAST HIGHLANDERS IN 3 STRAIGHT SETS

The Lady Raiders welcomed the Scotland Highlanders to town on Tuesday, October 7th. The Lady Raiders came out swinging and swept the Highlanders in three straight sets with scores of 25-5, 25-15, and 25-13.

Ravyn Medrickiy led the attack throwing down 11 kills, Brianna Fuchs added 8 and Hannah Holzbauer added 7. Braxton Nedved dished out 29 assists in the win. Holzbauer led behind the service line racking up 16 points/3 aces, Nedved tallied 12 points/3 aces and Fuchs added 10 points/1 ace. Medricky also led the defense scrambling for 11 digs while Nedved and Libby Kotab each picked up 6. Medricky and Fuchs each had a stop up at the net.

The JV team earned a nice win in two sets with scores of 25-7 and 25-14. Adara Hopkins led all hitters with 5 kills while Ashtyn Bruguier and Katrina Brown Bear each had 3. Kylin Insko tallied 9 assists and Mila Hopkins had 3. A. Hopkins led all servers earning 9 points/5 aces, Hayden Knudsen tallied 9 points/3 aces, Inkso added 9 points/1 ace, Camry Link had 6 points/1 ace and M. Hopkins had 4 points/2 aces.

Knudsen and A. Hopkins led the defense scrambling for 5 digs apiece and Brown Bear had 3.

Scotland did not have a C team.

Braxton Nedved was chosen as KDKO Player of the Match.
