The Wagner Volleyball team traveled to Lake Andes on Thursday, October 13 to face the AC/DC Thunder. The Raiders tallied another win with scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-16. The Lady Raiders are on a 17 match winning streak and are working hard towards their goals.

In the Varsity match it was a balanced attack with strong attacks from all positions. Emma Yost put away 13 kills, Kya Kjeldgaard threw down 10, Avari Bruguier slammed down 8, Shone Kocer added 7 and Shalayne Nagel earned 5. Macy Koupal distributed the ball well and racked up 41 assists in the match. Serving leaders were E. Yost with 11 points/6 aces, Bruguier with 9 points/1 ace, Nagel with 7 points and Madi Knebel with 6 points/2 aces. Defensively E. Yost picked up 16 digs, Nagel and Koupal each scrambled for 11, Bruguier added 10 and Knebel had 8 in the win. E. Yost and Kocer each recorded a block apiece.

The JV team added another win to their record with scores of 23-25, 25-17, and 15-11. Outside hitters Aubrey Medricky and Ashlyn Koupal led the offense with 9 kills, Ravyn Medricky earned 5, McKenzie Fuchs and Lydia Yost each had 3 in the win. L Yost dished out 22 assists to her hitters. Behind the service line A. Koupal racked up 11 points/4 aces and Fuchs added 8 points/3 aces. In the back court A. Koupal picked up 20 digs and L. Yost scrambled for 12. Up at the net Fuchs earned 4 stuff blocks and A. Koupal had 2 of her own.

The C team earned another win with scores of 25-18 and 25-18. Cadence Bernie led all attackers with 4 kills while R. Mericky added 3 and Shana Lensing had 2. Setters Hayden Fisher and Braxton Nedved had 4 and 3 assists in the win. Brylie Link served 9 points/5 acess, Nedved tallied 6 points/3 aces, and Addison Cuka had 6 points/2 aces. Libero Libby Kotab led all defenders with 15 digs, while Cuka and Lensing each picked up 4. Link also added 1 solo block in the match.

Junior setter Macy Koupal reached a great milestone of reaching her 2,000 career assists during Thursday nights match. A huge Congratulations to Macy on this great accomplishment!
