The Avon Lady Pirates came out strong Tuesday, October 14, sweeping Viborg/Hurley 3-0. Kaydence Metzger led from the service line with 4 ace serves, while Brielle Voigt added 3 more. At the net, Rilyn Thury powered through with 16 kills and Metzger followed with 10. Defensively, Jordyn Voigt tallied 16 digs, with Thury and Lexi Vanderlei each adding 13. Voigt also set the pace for the offense, recording 27 set assists on the night. The Lady Pirates improve their season record to 14-9 with the win. The JV team earned victories of 25-21 and 25-18, while the “C” team also swept with scores of 25-14 and 25-17.
