Avon’s offense was paced by Rilyn Thury, who powered the net with 11 kills, 2 blocks, 1 set assist and added 5 digs on defense. Brielle Voigt kept the attack moving with 13 set assists and 6 digs, while Jordyn Voigt added 15 digs and chipped in an ace serve. Breanna Hento hustled for 7 digs, Kaydence Metzger contributed 3 kills and 3 digs, and Lexi Vanderlei added 6 digs along with an ace serve. Supporting on both sides of the court, Brielle Voigt chipped in with 1 kill, 18 sets, 10 digs, and an ace serve. Defensive strength was key to the Lady Pirates’ success. Jordyn Voigt led the back row with an impressive 32 digs, while Breanna Hento added 5 kills, 3 blocks, 13 digs, and an ace. Kaydence Metzger recorded 3 kills and 7 digs, and Lexi Vanderlei contributed 11 digs along with an ace serve of her own. The Lady Pirates will return to home court on Tuesday, September 2, when they take on Parkston.
