Avon hosted Corsica/Stickney on Tuesday evening and took the win 3-0 to start off volleyball playoff action. Leading at the serve line was McKenna Kocmich with 2 aces. On the defense, Courtney Sees led the board with 12 kills, Rilyn Thury had 8 and Lila Vanderlei added 4. Dig leaders for the night were Sees with 21, Lila Vanderlei had 13, Jordyn Voigt had 12, and Kocmich added 10. Block leader was Kaeli Wallinga with 1 solo block. Kocmich again had a great night and tallied up 23 set assists. This win brought the Lady Pirates record to 19-10 and they now advance to play Thursday, Nov. 2 in Burke against Tripp/ Delmont/Armour.
