Avon School welcomes Jordan Kortan as their new Business Manager.

Kortan graduated from Bon Homme High School in 2008. He went on to further his education at USD in Vermillion. He graduated with a Health Sciences Degree and started working at the United States Postal Service in Tyndall as a rural mail carrier. After a year of working part-time he got a job in Wessington Springs as a full-time rural carrier with the USPS. He pursued that for roughly six years before taking on this new roll.

When Kortan was asked what he was looking forward to most at AHS he said, "the staff and meeting new people and finally having weekends off."

Jordan is the son of Bruce and Linda Kortan of Tyndall. He has one brother, Ross Kortan, who is a PE teacher at Bon Homme School (sister-in-law, Sara and nephew, Luke).

In his free time he likes to spend time with family, golf, and watch sports!
