Just Thought I'd Ask WE SHOULD EXAMINE OURSELVES

PROVERBS 28:13 " He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy."(KJV) There are those today who spend a lot of time covering up the things that they do. Some try to cover up sins of adultery (cheating on their spouse) others live in a life of fornication-and introduce their partner in sin as their husband or wife- but are neither one married to the other. Some students cheat on tests, others lie on their income tax returns. This list goes on and on- yet those involved in them will try to cover up or act as if they are not involved in these sins. The sad thing for them is that God knows all that a person does, because He is All knowing. God sees all that is done, as He is present in all places at all times- and watches as a person gets involved in sin in their life. There is no denying the sin-He knows and watched as the sin is committed. If the people who are living in sin, on purpose-think that God is going to bless them and prosper them-they are totally wrong. They will be denied the blessings that they could have if they were not living in and trying to cover up their sin. Now our scripture says"...but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy."(KJV) When a person realizes that they are actually involved in one sin or another- and realizes that sin is keeping them from the blessings of God and this person confesses this sin unto God, with the intention of not being involved in it ( forsake this sin ) then they shall obtain mercy and forgiveness from God. 1 JOHN 1:9 '' If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."(KJV) So we see from PROVERBS 28:13 that we cannot cover up any sin in our life. ( That God knows about it and saw us do it.) We should examine ourselves and confess any and all sin that is in our life and determine to forsake them. This will put you into the mercy and forgiveness of God , and with God's mercy and blessings on your life- you will prosper. Be sure you are on the blessing side of God. What side are you on?
