Just Thought I'd Ask IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

Matthew 11:28-30 "Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (KJV)

Many people today are bogged down by the things of the world around them, trying every day to overcome all this mess that is going on.

No matter how hard you try to get over the things of this world, it just seems almost impossible to do it.

Satan has influenced every aspect of life. So what is a per son to do?

Our scripture says that Jesus said, "come unto me," "learn of me," "And I will give you rest."

Coming to Jesus is saying one should come to Him in repentance and sorrow for their sins, and ask for His mercy and salvation.

"Learning of Him" requires Bible reading and Church attendance, learning how to live your life for Him, which will help you reject the world's ways.

The more you learn of Him the less the world's ways will seem to be in your life.

The heavy burden of sin at salvation is lifted from you, and "I will give you rest." God's promise to watch over you, provide for you, will lift off the heavy burden of the world's ways, and will give you rest unto your souls.

No matter what the world gives out to you---you have the gift of everlasting life facing you.

Now that you have this gift and promise the Lord says--"take my yoke upon you." This is as saying by Jesus---I've done My part now you should pick up where I left off, tell others and be blessed.

That is not a hard request, in fact He is saying, "My burden is light."

He did it all---all He asks us is to tell others. The only cost to you is your time to tell others.

Each time you tell others about Jesus, you will be blessed for doing it.

His yoke is easy---pick it up and be blessed.

Is that too much to ask of you?
