Matthew 12:38-41 "Then certain of the scribes and the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. But he answered and said unto them, an evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it. But the sign of the Prophet Jonas: for Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Neveveh shall rise in judgement with this generation, and shall; condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas: and behold, a greater than Jonas is here."(KJV) Today there are still some who do not believe. They say Jesus said He would come again and it has been over 2000 years and He still hasn't come. Remember in Genesis Chapter Two He for told of a Savior and it took 4000 years before Jesus was born. It is impairative that we believe the Word of God. Jesus is coming again some day to retrieve from this evil earth those who have heard the Word and believed it and received forgiveness for their sins and the promise of eternal life. How He is coming and that He is coming will be spectacular is mentioned in 1 THESSALONIANS 4:16,17 "For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them into the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."(KJV) Two signs that Jesus is the Son of God: First, as Jonas was, Jesus was in the grave three days and three nights and came out alive of His own will to complete the will of God the Father for Him. Second, Jonas was spit up on the shore of Neveveh to complete the job the Lord had for him. The only sign we have today is given to us in His Word the Bible. There is no need for further information about His coming than is given to us in His Word. So we today believe His Word and do as He said, "watch". MATTHEW 24:42 "For ye know not what hour your Lord doth come."(KJV) When He does come there will be no doubt that it is He that cometh. Don't be like the evil generation that seeks more, we know what the Bible says and believe it. Do You? Just Thought I'd Ask
