Man was created by God to love honor and serve him. As it came to pass around 4000 years man had fallen into sin against God and rejected God. All had turned their backs on God. God gave man several chances to turn back to Him, but man refused to do it.

But God knew that among mankind there were some who would still love, honor and serve Him. So the scriptures say in JOHN 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."(KJV)

So Jesus came to bring a message of God's love, His mercy and forgiveness to anyone that would repent of their sins, confess that Jesus is Lord and seriously believe it, and turn back to the Lord and be born again.

Those who would listen and believe would be brought out of their lost estate and would be saved, forgiven and assured everlasting life.

This would be by and through Jesus Christ who said in JOHN 14:6 ".. I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me."(KJV)

All others have lost their chance for heaven due to unconfessed sin in their life which is against God.

For man to enter heaven, Jesus made it possible for them.

So what did Jesus do for all mankind? Jesus left the pleasantness and fellowship with the Father in Heaven and came to earth and would be for many years on this sinful world.

He lived a simple life as He grew up to be a man, and as a man He began His ministry in obedience to His Father in Heaven.

He was blasphemed, run out of town, falsely accused, was arrested, but no fault was found in Him. He was scourged and hung on an old rugged cross, and was not found guilty on anything. He died on that cross and was buried for three days and three nights, and under His own power rose again alive. He was seen by many people at one time. He rose back into heaven to sit at His Father side waiting to return again for those who believed.

He did all this out of obedient love for His Father and for His love for all mankind.

LUKE 19:10 explains further why He came when He did, "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."(KJV)

He did then and does now offer salvation to all who will believe.

He is the only way to get to heaven. The Bible tells us this fact. Some teach that you can get to heaven some other way without Him.
