BUT A WISE MAN WILL LISTEN

By

PROVERBS 17:10 "A reproof entereth into a wise man that a hundred stripes into a fool." (KJV) This scripture is talking about the council of those who are possibly thinking about their faith being not so strong. Maybe a person is thinking that their salvation may not be for eternity or many other ideas are floating around about their faith. These doubtful thoughts are placed in their minds by Satan, who will try to turn a person away from God and God's promises. But a wise man (born again)will listen to the instructions given to him from the scriptures and will take the advise of those who council them with the Word of God and get their life back on track with God's Word. A fool (is one who says there is no God) will not listen to the Godly advise of these councilors who care for their soul, but they are so much involved in the world that convincing them of a sinful life by any method even by using a whip with a hundred stripes will not convince them that they need to change so that God can bless them with the blessings that He wants for them to have. Their hearts are cold, their minds are made up not to listen to any corrective criticism. This person the Bible says is a "fool" who will one day stand before Jesus at the Judgement Seat. This fool will find out PHILIPPIANS 2:11 is true, "And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father."(KJV) To confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and be blessed, or confess Jesus Christ as Lord to late and be cast into the Lake of Fire. Our scripture tells us that a reproof (correction for a wise man) entereth into a wise man than a hundred stripes to a fool. The fool that says there is no God will find out the hard way that God does exist. Does your council come from the Word of God? Just Thought I'd Ask
