M ATTHEW 9:10-13 'And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans ( Tax Collectors) and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.' (KJV) 'Go ye and learn,' Jesus said. Jesus was referring that He had not partiality for people.
But He stated that some people are righteous, believers and love it, but some are sick (sin sick). These are the ones that He came for: lost souls who have not repented of their sins--He came to teach them the seriousness of sinning against God and how important it is that they realize their situation, which they must repent of their sins. He came to seek and to save sinners, give them mercy, forgive their sins and free them from their sins punishment, and give then eternal life----by believing in Him.
He said very plainly in the Scriptures in JOHN 14 'I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.' He was telling the publicans and sinners at the table--to learn what He was doing. They had to learn that Jesus came to seek and to save those that were lost.
Now the Scriptures are telling us that we should seek and give the message of salvation to the lost--so they could be saved.
Jesus was saying that those who are saved do not have to hear is again because they are saved but the message is for those who are sin sick because they need to be saved.
Now the Word of God tells us to go forth and tell those in need of salvation how they can be saved.
When God says 'GO,' we should be going out and telling others Do you know it---have you told it?
