M AT THEW 8: 1 - 4 'When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man, but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.' (KJV) This man was cleansed because he believed in Jesus and trusted by faith to be cleansed.
At that time Jesus told him not to tell anyone what just happened to him. Jesus said this to him because He did not want to be known as the miracle healing man.
But now today it is different we are told, even commanded, to tell who Jesus is and about the miracle of salvation that cleanses us from all our sins.
When we are saved by faith, and believe that Jesus would save us, then when we accepted Jesus, by faith, and repentance, truly in our hearts, we are cleansed from our sins immediately through forgiveness.
So now He says for us to not keep our salvation from others, but to tell others how to be saved, and go to heaven thru Jesus Christ and Him only.
Spread the truth, the Good News to any and all that you can spread it to.
Not telling others is a sin of disobedience.
Telling others is the right thing to do.
Knowing to do good and not doing it is a sin.
Go out and tell of Jesus's promise of salvation and eternal life with Him in heaven.
Have you gone out and told others?
