Pastor/Founder of the Grace Baptist Church, Lake Andes since 1988 P salms 50: 14- 17 'offer unto God thanksgiving, and pay thy vows unto the Most High; And call unto Me in the day of trouble. I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

But unto the wicked God saith what hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shalt take my covenant into thy mouth?

Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my word behind thee.' (KJV) We should be thankful for His forgiveness, and salvation and the promise of eternal life with Him forever in heaven.

When we trusted Jesus as our own personal Savior--we expected Him to keep His promise to forgive us of all our sins, save us from eternal punishment for them and grant us eternal life with Him forever.

But at the same time we promised some thimgs to Him--and He expects us to keep our promises to Him. as well. We promised that He would be our Lord--first above anything or anybody in our life, and promised to serve Him, and to glorify Him for the rest of our life.. We promised Him that we would follow His Word, and pray to Him for our needs.

This was to be a day to day life for us.

We believed that He would do as He promised by faith.

How are we doing to keep our promises to Him? Our promises to Him are vows to Him.

If we would do as we said we would God would be le pleased with us and would bless us Are we receiving all His blessings or are we falling short because of our failing to keep our vows to Him.

He says to the wicked (those who are not saved) Don't try to be something that you are not--because they hate instruction from the Bible and cast God's Word behind them.

Check yourself---How are you doing?
