IT'S A NEW YEAR
By

M ATTHEW 19:19 'Honor thy father and thy mother and thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.' (KJV) This Scripture is telling us just how God wants us to love in our society. This of course is understanding that we should love the Lord first, then put our Father and Mother next in line to Him by saying to us that we should honor our Father and Mother.

Then He states a very explicit statement to love our neighbor as we love ourselves.

We must look at others as God's Creation, made in His image. We all have the same blood, and are all created equal. It is not to be

determined by us who is better than the next. Color, race, nationality, speech, or any other differences--we are all created by God. He loves us all, He died for all of us, and He wants for all of us to be in heaven with Him someday.

Who are we in this world to decide which is best?

We are all sinners, but He loves us just the same. We are no better than any one else so we should do as He said---love our neighbors as ourselves.

It is time for all of us to love our neighbors, not look down on them for any reason because God looks on all of us the same.

This is now a new year--time to get our attitude corrected about our neighbor.

If we would follow God's ways and love them as He does--things would be much happier for everybody.

No one is better and no one is less; we are all created by God to love, honor, and to serve Him. He expects the same from all of us.

Don't let the world's ways get between honoring your Father and your Mother and loving your neighbor as yourself.

Let's take hate away and this year turn toward one another, loving one another as God loves us.

It sure would be a nicer world, wouldn't it?
