M ATTHEW1:18 'Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise...'(KJV) Now if you wish to know the truth of His birth just continue reading from verse 19 to 21 in Matthew 1 from the Bible--God's inspired Word and you will know the truth for sure.
Now we do not know for sure that His birth was on December 25 or not, but as long as the whole earth celebrated it over the years--celebrating His birth--better that day than no date at all.
Over the years, little by little, there has been a great change in the celebration of the day.
First it was CHRISTmas, then it was x-mas, then it was Happy Holidays. Leaving the celebration of His birth out of the celebration all together.
Now it is all about shopping- starting in August and finishing on black Friday. All of this shopping is to fulfill a great lie and superstition of a big fat man in a red suit.
By December 26 it is all over--much preparation for a single day.
God's preparation was an eternal promise of a Redeemer-- He kept His promise in the birth of Jesus Christ--the greatest gift ever given to man.
Jesus said in JOHN 14:6 'I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.' (KJV) The great gift is in the Free Pardon of Sin for those who will repent and believe and also the gift of eternal life.
Unfortunately people have looked the other way--and other ways to get to heaven.
Times are getting short---it is time that folks get back to what this season is all about. Jesus is the reason for this CHRISTMAS season--if it would be but for His birth, death and resurrection that the greatest gift would be available.
So let's get back from the lies and superstition and take time to thank Jesus for His love and willingness to forgive and save.
So don't you think that it is time to get back to the way it was?
