JOHN 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.
We must realize that if it were not for Jesus--there would be no Christmas at all.
Christmas Season--the time we think of Jesus the only begotten Son of God was born as a gift to us, Jesus -His Son, the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the World, our Savior, our Rock, our refuge and our strength, our ever present help in time of trouble, the Redeemer of our sins who believe, trust, repent, and receive Him as their Savior.
When we think of gifts at this time of year, worldly gifts that cost money and are bought for someone that we hardly know--that they probably will not use--or will wear out. We again must think of the free gift of salvation that will last forever, paid for by Jesus on the cross because He loved us and also promised eternal life-with Him in heaven to those who believe Jesus.
Just don't take your mind off of the real meaning of Christmas.
First it was CHRISTmas Then it was X-mas Then it was holiday Remember to put CHRIST back into CHRISTMAS and wish others a merry Christmas and not just holidays. What's next? How will you observe the birth of Jesus? As Christmas or just another holiday?
