MATTHEW 15: 21-28

Then Jesus went thence into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.

And behold, a woman of Canaan, came out of the same courts, and cried out unto him, saying, have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

But he answered her not a word, And his disciples came and besought him, saying, send her away; for she crieth after us.

But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Then came she and worshipped him, saying Lord, help me.

But he answered and said it is not meant to take the children's bread and cast it to dogs.

And she said, truth, Lord yet eat of the crumbs, which fall from their masters table.

Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman great is thy faith: be it done unto thee even as thou wilt, and her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

This scripture gives us an understanding that sometimes we ask the Lord for something and it seems that He is not listening nor is not ready to answer our request.

But we see that this woman's faith and her persistent asking Jesus that He noticed that her faith was strong and her request was not for herself but for her daughter Jesus told her that her faith was sufficient, he said great and said that as she had asked of Him,itwouldbedone.Andher daughter was made whole just as she had asked.

We may have asked the Lord again and again for something before we eventually see the answer.

Some folks faith falters if they do not get an answer right away.

This is what Jesus is looking for as we request something-- not failing faith but increased faith in Jesus answering out request, in His time.

ASK, DOUBT NOT, and Believe He will answer, but never doubt His response, --that will get a NO answer. Keep praying and asking-- He will eventually answer. Don't give up Have you asked and given up on an answer?
