T IMOTHY 1:6-10
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear: but of power and of love, and of a sound mind.
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner; but be thou partakers of the affliction of the Gospel according to the power of God.
Who has saved us had called us with a Holy calling, not according to our work, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.
But now is made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortatity to light through the gospel.
This was encouragement by Paul to Timothy but it is encouragement to us as well.
We are told as children of God that we should continue the teaching and preaching of God's Word--to not be ashamed to admit and tell that we are saved and serving our risen Savior.
He saved us to serve Him and that service includes telling others how to be forgiven and saved to eternal life.
He has a purpose for each of us and given us the power thru the Holy Spirit and His grace to do His will.
Jesus proved Who He is by appearing to all mankind-He is the Son of God--and He is God. We should prove our love for Him, by loving Him and honoring and serving Him unapologetically, openly and with examples to others. Their salvation may be in your hands to tell them.
Do it God's Way--He will bless every effort you put in for Him.
But are you doing it?
Just Thought I'd ask
