Submitted By Dr. James Schirtzinger, D.d. Pastor/founder Of The Grace Baptist Church, Lake Andes Since 1988

M ATTHEW 7:13-15

Enter ye into the straight gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there at. Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth to life... and few there be that find it.

Because of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Jesus always spoke in terms that the listener can relate to.

The wide gate is the world full of temptations and evil which leads to spiritual destruction in sin and unfortunately there are many who follow the sinful practices and eventually they end up in the lake of fire.

But--narrow is the gate which leads to everlasting life--this is salvation of souls who willingly get away from the world's ways and followed God's ways which thru salvation thru the blood of Jesus--secure a promise of everlasting life with Jesus forever.

When you get saved you will have removed yourself from the wide gate of destruction and will be placed on the narrow road of righteousness. Everybody is not on this narrow road--but thru salvation you will be--with God's blessings and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit's guidings, you will remain there.

Keep on reading your Bible, and your attendance to church, hearing preaching that will help you along in your life. Your life will be better away from the world's ways--and following the Lord's ways.

So just think---Which gate is yours?
