IF YOU ARE SAVED WHO HAVE YOU TOLD

Pastor/Founder of the Grace Baptist Church, Lake Andes since 1988 M ATTHEW 9:27-31

And when Jesus departed from thence. Two blind men followed him and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.

And when he was come into the house. The blind men came to him, and Jesus sayeth unto them, believe that I am able to do this? And they say unto him, yes, Lord.

Then touched he their eyes, saying according to your faith be it unto you.

And their eyes were opened: and Jesus charged them, saying, see that no man knoweth it.

But they, when they were departed, spread around his fame in all that county.'

Those blind men were so pleased with their new eye sight that they just couldn't go away from Jesus--and say nothing, to anybody, but they spread His Fame to all the country.

Jesus told them 'see that no man know it' Jesus had compassion on these men, but the more compassion He had on people the more popular that He became.

But Jesus did not come to this Earth to be a popular healer--in fact He came to seek and to save that which was lost.

People began to follow Him--not because He was the Son of God, but to see what He was going to do next.

To each He healed--He basically told them to not broadcast what He had done for them.

But now today many of those who have been forgiven of their sins and given the free gift of salvation with the promise of eternal life with Jesus in Heaven forever will have the most important problem in their life cleared up, by faith in Jesus Christ and instead of spreading it around how they were saved by the blood of Jesus they don't go out and tell anybody.

The blind men bragged about what happened to them, but those today who received a greater blessing, hardly tel l anybody.

The blind men were so excited to receive their sight, but the excitement of receiving salvation just doesn't seem so exciting to those today. Blind men will eventually die-and lose their sight, but those saved will die and live on for all eternity with Jesus. That seems to me much more exciting. They should be so excited that they would go out and tell every body that they know that they could have the gift of salvation as well.

People today are so gold, that this amazing forgiveness by the blood of Jesus is just not such good news for them today as two men receiving their sight. People today must get saved and be glad that they are going to heaven that it shows in their life, and through their mouth. Witness for Jesus is greater than anything else on this earth.

If you are saved--who have you told?
