But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. Therefore said the disciples one to another, hath any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, my meat is to do the will of Him that sent me and to finish His work.' (KJV) Jesus knew that God the Father created them to love honor and to serve Him.

Consequently, those who God the Father created to love, honor, and serve Him in Heaven rejected Him, and in so doing, lost their chance to enter heaven to be with Him eternally.

God the Father still loves His creation but hates their sin against Him and gave His creation another chance. He sent Jesus, His only begotten Son, to come to Earth to tell of God the Father's love for them and His willingness to forgive their sins, and give them mercy, if they would believe in Him, and He sent Jesus to suffer for their sins, and die for their sins. That Jesus did that out of love for God the Father, and He did it for God's creation. God raised up His Son from the grave to prove that He was able to forgive sins.

Now that God the Father Sent Jesus to die for His creation's sins, He requires His creation to believe in His Son Jesus, to repent of their sins, and ask for mercy to forgive them of their sins, and to take them to heaven to be with Jesus for all eternity with the gift of salvation and eternal life.

God allowed Jesus to die and He allows His creation to get to heaven believing in Him---All because He loves His creation and He wants them to love, honor, and serve Him.

Heaven is theirs if they do it His way. Jesus said 'I am the Way the truth and the life, no man cometh to the FATHER but by me.' This is the meat that Jesus was speaking of.
