P ROVERBS 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts. (KJV) LUKE 16:15 And he said unto them, ye are they which justify yourselves before men: but God knoweth your hearts. For that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.(KJV) MATTHEW 6:2 Wherefore when thou doust thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogue and in the streets, that they may have the glory of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. (KJV) Many people believe that what they do should be noticed by others. They do this in order for others to think highly of themselves. Outwardly they think they are something special.

But the reason they are acting this way is to get attention from others to make themselves feel good. But the Lord knows their reason and does not bless their actions so the only personal glory they receive is the possible glory from those who witnessed them. They are the ones that proudly justify what they do before others.; But God knows their real reason is to get personal attention and God considers their actions as an abomination to Him. So God's Word tells us that when we do something that we should not do it before others to be seen as the hypocrites do but to do it in secret and get the glory from God for what you do. It is so much better to see in secret , as you humbly do it and you will receive a reward from God.

The hypocrites inly receive from those that they are trying to impress.

God blesses you just for doing the good without trying to please others.

God's blessings on you are much better than those received from men you try to impress.

Now my question is---Why do you do the things that you do?
