Just Thought I'd Ask

WE SHOULD NOT BE GRUMBLING

By

MATTHEW 6:27-33 "Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought of raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or, what shall we drink? Or, where with all shall we be clothed? ( For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."(KJV)

We are living in a " I want" and "I must have" time.

And if people do not have-something especially if others do have. We should not be grumbling about things that we do not have that others have.

Just think that whatever they do have that you don't have over a time will ware out and be useless to them. We are not to covet what others have, that is God's command. We should be grateful for what we do have.

Just think as we are wanting what others have-that no matter how nice it may be to have these things-you can't take them with you.

Now if you seek the Kingdom of God and reach out for forgiveness and salvation, this is yours to keep forever, will never rust or get old.

Just think one day those who have now and you don't-will be wishing they had what you have and they don't. Salvation is eternal. They can have it they must ask for it and will not be turned away.

Material things only last for a while or maybe for a few years at best. But what you have through salvation will be forever.

Isn't it better to be seeking the things of God now- than worrying about what others may have that are worldly at best?
