Pastor/Founder of the Grace Baptist Church, Lake Andes since 1988 M ATTHEW 26:6-13 Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper.

There came unto him a woman having a alabastor box (flask) of very precious ointment (costly fragrant oil) and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.

But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, to what purpose is this waste?

For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

When Jesus understood it, he said unto them,why trouble ye the woman? for she hath brought a good work upon me.

For ye have the poor always with you, but me ye have not always.

For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.

Verily I say unto you, wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also preach this, that this woman hath done be told for a memorial of her.'(KJV) This woman who did a very simple thing for Jesus---Jesus says that she should always be preached for doing it.

This brings to mind that when we so the simplist thing for the cause of Christ, He sees it, He knows it and He remembers it.

Some people think that they must do some great thing to be blessed of God. That simply is not true. God blesses you for even doing a simple thing for His glory.

Such as giving a piece of literature to someome. Praying for the souls of others, witnessing to others. These are all simple things, but God honors those whos do them, with His blessings.

This scripture says that what this woman did for Him should be preached all over the world. Did you notice that the woman's name was not spoken?

The Lord knows who she is and what she did. He also knows who you are and exactly what you are doind for Him, and blesses you accordingly.

He does'n say that you must do some spectacular thing--but that what you do, do something for His Honor.

We should be like the woman-- do somethingregardless of what others think of what you are doing it for the Glory of God.

So just do something for the Glory of God. Think about it everyday and do something for God's Glory.

You want all the blessings from Him that you can get-right?
