HE CAN DO IT

Pastor/Founder of the Grace Baptist Church, Lake Andes since 1988 P SALM 44:1-8 'We have heard with our ears, O GOD, our Fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old. How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out. For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thine countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them. Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob. Through thee will we push down our enemies: Through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us. For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us. In God we boast all the day long, and praise his name for ever.' (KJV) In this PSALM David is remembering what he heard from his elders. He praises that no matter what the circumstance he would find himself in, God would be able to pull him through.

He realizes that he, himself was unable to fix his situation--- But God could and did.

He then says He boasts all the day long about how the Lord fixed his situation and praised His Name.

We must take from this PSALM that there is no task that the Lord cannot make do for us. The problems we face today are not too hard for Him to correct.

We must, by faith, believe that as He did in the past He can do again in this day and age. So we can know, as David did, that if we are faithful in our daily lives, and instead not wondering what God will do, we must remember what He has already done and boast about His accomplishments and keep the faith. Praise His Holy Name all day every day and for ever.

He is our Rock, our fortress, our protector against all evil, and He promises us a much greater eternal life, when we serve and trust Him.

We must trust and believe by faith He will fix our problems. Do you believe it?
