NOW THAT IS REAL LOVE

JOHN 1:27 ' He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.' (KJV) The HE in this scripture is John the Baptist.

The WHO in this scripture is JESUS CHRIST the SON of GOD.

Now John realized how unworthy he was to even loosen the latches on the shoes that Jesus wore---how much more should we realize how unworthy we are.

We are all sinners as ROMANS 3:23 says 'For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.' (KJV) But there is a way to settling it with the Lord. ROMANS 6:23 says 'For the wages of sin is death (spiritual death) but the gift of God (Salvation) is eternal life (spiritual life) thru Jesus Christ our Lord.' (KJV) God's love for us is real and sincere. He does not wait for us to be good enough for Him, but ROMANS 5:8 says 'But God commended (showed His Love) His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.' (KJV) Now that is real love. Jesus said in JOHN 14:5 'Jesus saith unto them. 'I am the Way, the Truth, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the FATHER but by me.'(KJV) John realized that it would be thru Jesus that they could go to heaven. He (JOHN) told those who were following him, that He (JESUS) must increase and I (JOHN) must decrease.

Since John was wise to know who the people were to follow-we should take his advice and follow Jesus.

Coming to church, reading your Bible and following what the Bible says for your joy and happiness---as seen in His Word, apply His Word and your life will change for the good. Remember that the Bible says whatsoever you eat or drink, whatsoever you do, for the Glory of God and this comes with God's blessings and your joy will follow.

Have you gone to church, and read your Bible and followed what it has to say and received God's gift for you?

Just Thought I'd Ask Our Bible tells us that no matter how hard we try to be 'good,' we will never be good enough on our own to get to heaven.
