Just Thought I'd Ask
PSALM 63: 1-6 1) O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee.My flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; 2) To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
3) Because thy loving kindness is better than life, my life shall praise thee.
4) Thus will I praise thee while I live, I will lift up my hands in thy name.
5) My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips.
6) When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.'(KJV) PSALM 42:8 ' Yet the Lord will command His loving kindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayers unto the God of my life.'(KJV) These two scriptures are stating that God is the God of our life.
He it is that we love for for His protection in the world that is needing Him--Our world is dry spiritually and in need of His Word to flourish. Where others are walking without Him--we are seeking Him.
We can start our day with a prayer for a good and blessed and prosperous day.
We realize His power to keep us and we give Him the Glory He deserves.
We realize that we do not deserve His loving kindness since we are sinners-- saved by His grace., But when others are mocking Him with their lips and actions--we will praise His with our lips.
Our life should be such that we bless Him--and lift Him up in our prayers.
Our soul shall be satisfied with all the abundant blessings we have received from Him daily.
When we end out day and pillow our heads we should finish out our day in prayer of thanksgiving for the blessings of the day. Our thoughts should not be about tomorrow but they should be on Him as we doze off to sleep.
Our 24 hour love, honor and service to Him will be blessed by a clear clean beautiful night. because our thoughts will be on the God of our life.
